REQUESTING YOUR HELP for a photo project with To Bargain With Mortals!
Can you believe we’re just THREE DAYS away from the official release of To Bargain With Mortals? Because I sure as hell can’t. With it coming up this week, I’d like to ask for your help - all of you - with a little photo project.
I would really love to collect photos of To Bargain With Mortals from all over the country, and all over the world! Already so many people have tagged me in stories where they’ve found Bargain already shelved in their local bookstores (as far off as AUSTRALIA!?), and I’m not entirely sure how I think this will work or how I’ll display it, but I have a sort of vaue vision of filling up a map with photos from all of you.
I’ll put some example photos below, but wherever you are in the world, if you happen to see Bargain out in the wild, I’d love for you to take a picture of it and send it to me with your location! Ideally city, state (or your country’s equivalent whether it be province or territory or otherwise) but it can be more general if you’re not comfortable sharing your city! (and on the flipside, if you are comfortable with anonymized locations, I’d love to know the bookstore).
A photo from inside the store or, if you want to be a little extra and you happen to buy it, a photo with the store in the background? I wish I had a cleaner proposal to give you all, but this really is just a vague inclination of a project that I have in my head and want to see if it’ll work.
[EXTENDING THIS AS WELL to if you pre-ordered the book and it has arrived to you, I'd love to see it! I know many of you pre-ordered the book (which, again, I CANNOT tell you how much that helps so thank you so so much) and if you would like to get it on this project as well, feel free to send me a photo of your copy with where it has made it's way to you in the world as well!]
If you’re up for this, you’re welcome to send your photos to me via:
Email at business@emmaskies.net
DM me on social media (I’ll try to keep a better eye on my messages for a bit to account for this)
and/or I think I’ll set up a channel for this in the discord! (if you haven’t joined the discord, you totally should. There are special Bindery-only channels that you guys get)
Here are some photo examples, either in-store (let’s pretend my own bookshelves are a bookstore) or outside with the store in the background:
